Ø Our managers were great at the technical work but we are now asking them to manage that work
Ø Some of our managers have not figured out that there is more to managing people than telling them what to do
Ø The employee base expects the new mangers to perform immediately or all credibility is going to be lost
Ø Many of our managers don't know the competencies needed to be successful in their role nor what it takes for their teams to be successful
Ø We must provide tools now, to shorten the learning curve for these managers and increase their chances for success
In fast paced high volume businesses, this is all too common!
